Consumer Education: "Be aware of your rights"

May 15, 2023

Consumer education involves measures to inform the consumer, who is seen as in need of protection about their 8 consumer rights. I have learned and realized a lot. As a Future Educator, I would say that consumer education is important because it helps us inform consumers when it comes to decisions and purchases and communicate our rights. I also realized that we have the right to have basic needs. Our parents are responsible to give us our basic needs like shelter and clothes. But not all parents can provide these basic needs of poverty and lack of knowledge about family planning and how to handle a family because some of them are the root of teenage pregnancy that arise here in the Philippines. As a Future Educator, I want to teach my future students to be responsible. Every decision in our life has a consequence. Whether it's for good or bad it has a consequence that's why we choose to be kind and responsible in everything we do in our lives.

Human Development and Family Studies: "You're Worth It"

 April 03, 2023

Human development and Family Studies is focused on understanding human development from birth through adulthood. In this topic, I have learned and realized a lot. As a Future Educator I realized that every person has a unique individual. As an individual, I've been doubting myself in everything. I always think that I can't do that, it's not for me, it's not suitable for me, I can't do what they can do. My self esteem has become low compared to the past years.

This year for me is full of doubting, insecurities and what if. My self concept has become poor. I find myself ugly because of my asymmetrical face. This is the reason why I put braces on my teeth. I'm hoping that these braces will help me to boost my self concept. But even though I already had braces on my teeth, my shyness was still in my body. I cannot take a picture when I'm in a public place like I need someone to be with me just to boost my confidence. But when I was reviewing my topic for my report I was determined to discuss my topic. I think the reason is to prove to them that I can do this? That they are wrong. This is what I want to realize and teach to my future students: don't be afraid to fail and show your flaws to them because each of us have our own uniqueness that no one can be with you because you're the only one.

Dressmaking and Tailoring: "Leaving you in Stitches"

 May 08, 2023

Dressmaking is defined as the craft of sewing clothes and dresses. In this topic, I realized as a Future Educator the importance of dressmaking and tailoring in our daily lives. Clothing is one of the most important parts of our society. Since the time of the old generations. Tailoring and dressmaking is alive and now is continuing to develop. Now in the present, we have seen in each of us the success of dressmaking. If there's no dressmaker we don't have any clothes to wear everyday.

As a person and future educator, it's important to us to have a basic knowledge about the tools and equipment used in making clothes , and it's important to have knowledge when it comes to tailoring stitches. For me as an educator, it's a big help to us to have knowledge about tailoring. My grandmother is a dressmaker and she loves to make dresses for us her granddaughters. I remember when I'm in elementary we have an activity in TLE subjects we need to stitch the difference stitches, my grandmother taught me how to stitch and now I am young I been used this knowledge and skills. When I have damaged clothes like a hole, torn cloth I am the one who fixed it because I know what I need to do because of what my grandmother taught me. As I grow old I will bring these skills and no one can steal from me.

Cookery/ Bread and Pastry: "Love at first Bite"

April 24, 2023

Cookery/ Bread and Pastry is one of my favorite topics in the seminar.  I think because I came from the Cookery strand when I was in High School G9 and G10. I already take Cookery NCII and I was passed so, I'm NCII Passer. As a future educator, I have so many realization. I realized being a future educator and possible to be a Cookery Teacher is so expensive. I remember when I was in high school, every time we had a laboratory we expected that there's a contribution to buy some ingredients needed for the task. As a future educator, I expect that I need to take many National Certificates for my credentials.

I also realized that when you make bread and pastry there’s an exact amount of every ingredient there is no shortcut for baking. Unlike in cooking, it also has an exact measure when putting condiments but we can season the taste of food. And I realize when building a house or kitchen there is a right placement of sink, table and the bathroom is not near the kitchen. So it's very important to give advice to experts like architecture, engineering when building a kitchen/house.

Computer System Servicing: "Let's you Work Better"

 May 22, 2023

Computer System Serving teaches us how to install and repair our PC's, it also teaches us how to maintain our computer system and networks. Aside from this it also developed our skills. As a Future Educator, I realized the importance of computer system serving. When you are an Educator, computers/laptops are part of our life in teaching. These are our learning materials that we always use when teaching so it's important to us to know the basic steps when repairing and installing our computer. We should know the parts of computer hardware and the steps when fixing our computer software. As a future educator, I have learned this subject/topic.

During my high school and 2nd year I experienced assembling and disassembling the parts of the CPU. It's a great experience and moments to fix something that in the first I didn't really know what I should do when there's a problem so now I have gained and learned a little bit about CSS. So to have more knowledge about CSS it's important to me, to us future educators to take a NCII to be trained and have a certificate and to be NC11 Passer.

Woodworking and Handicrafts: "Get it fixed with us"

                                 April 24, 2023

In this seminar, woodworking and handicrafts to be creative and to be valuable in every thing we have and we saw. As a Future Educator I learned and experienced a lot in this topic. I learned to be creative and some way honestly, I'm not a creative person I need a guide to be creative. But this process of making woodwork and handicrafts makes me believe and proves to me that this was great. We learned to recycle the thing we can use like the bamboo we can recycle to make it unique and useful. I already have experience making mosaics, calligraphy, and embroidery. It's such a fun but tiring job. We can use this as a hobby and If we want to improve we can also build a business that makes pottery and sculpture.
Woodworking and handicrafts is just like Carpentry but the difference is it's more creative and we can make many things in woodworking and handicrafts.

I always put in my mind what the guest speaker said to us to take a NCII before we graduate. It’s important to have a NCII especially if we pursue our course, DepEd now are looking for more credentials before being hired. But it's not just for credentials but it's also for us, but it also gives us additional knowledge.

Computer Programming: "Ctrl +S for Success"

May 23, 2023

Computer programming is the process of writing code to facilitate
specific actions in a computer, application or software program, and instructs them on how to perform. In this topic I have learned and realized a lot. As a Future Educator, I realize that programming is like a life. Just in mathematics when solving a problem, every problem/situation is you need to solve it. Just like in our life we have different problems that we need to solve. You have two choices : either you will solve it whether it's hard to solve or just leave it here. But remember every time you solve the problem it's giving you great feelings. 109 In this topic, programming trains our mind to be logical and critical thinking. As my experienced when I was 2nd year, Programming was my hardest subject for me I think the reason is because I really not attached in numbers but I try my best to solve, to code then when I got the correct code it's giving me a great experience and happiness because I also learned and having an experience like this.
